Capitalism caused Climate Change. Big Business and Commerce has absolutely no interest in Climate Change. Unless they can make a profit off the problem. Workplace dictatorships and slave vocational jobs involving business owners and workers. The need for money to survive in a predatory capitalist system such as ours is a form of indenture slavery and dictatorship. Blowhards chastises Colin Kaepernick for exercising his right to free speech. And yet, most people are brainwashed into thinking that "American Freedom" is submitting to a Monday thru Friday 9 to 5 dictatorship called the workplace and a consumer/ worker using his paycheck to go to a grocery store and choosing between 40 brand name cereals. Chinese slave children manufactured the Apple i Phone (Structural Coercion) . Under the umbrella of Capitalism and the Free Market. lol

I'm really glad to hear Peter is giving voice to the need for a Universal Guaranteed Income! This is an essential step.

  • melchor atutubo

this is unsustainable, the problem is the motivation to work and create. i disagree with peter that capitalism has nothing to do with technological progress, the nearest thing to the level of progress is USSR which is typically brought thru the same system of economic reward in its scientists or coercion from the politburo

Politicians and legislators are owned and controlled by their corporate overlords. For example, the Tea Party is bankrolled by Big Tobacco and Koch Industries. Hillary Clinton is controlled by Goldman Sachs and the banks. Donald Trump and his gambling empire. Ted Cruz's wife working for Goldman Sachs. Etc.
