  • TheHomoludens

    Again, you fool:
technology is but a human activity!
Your question makes no sense from that perspective…

  • aristotle313

    Hasn't technology already saved mankind?

  • aristotle313

Under an RBE you would know what independence and freedom are. A centralized computer system wouldn't dictate your life or control your daily needs, you would. A centralized computer system would be interconnected and allocate resources for the betterment of humanity and the environment. You wouldn't have a boss because none would be needed. You wouldn't need any serious form of authoritarianism.

  • EroomYrrah

It a utopia for the elite.

A well controlled, self obediant, short lived population of serfs is exactly what the lords of this World would consider utopia….This is, as Huxley stated, the final revolution to their orderly new world.

  • EroomYrrah

FDR attacked the Money Trust back in his day…Economic Royalists was is favoured term for the Banksters back in the 30s.

    A Roosevelt quote:

"The forces of organized money hate me. And I welcome their hatered."

  • Strangepete

me 2 we are all in this shit together.

  • TheHomoludens

Keep your moronic BS to yourself, asshole!
And fyi: technology is but a human activity…

  • mrhoustonn

Technology is the only thing that has done it. U think tech is just the iphone, cars and whatever? Tech is ur clothes. It is the certain way u r "speaking" now trying to convince someone. Without it, ur would not be a "cool guy", u'd be another kind of animal, not human 4 sure. Information isnt a contaminated thing that will make u a "nerd", it is what'll make u free, bcause only by understanding yr environment, u can act upon it correctly to solve yr problems. Grow the hell up.

Would it help feed, cloth, and shelter the entirety of the human population? Yes. "Utopic?" No, impossible. "New world order?" Obviously… new world order simply means a new way of living, doesn't automatically mean it's bad.

  • aristotle313

Think about what would happen if you started by dismantling the military industrial complex and used that technology for something proactive rather than reactive. Also, Huxley and Orwell wrote about hierarchy and oppression. This has nothing to do with utopia rather a society open to discussion that can constantly be improved upon.

  • TheHomoludens

" I'd rather spend my time in a lab developing future space propulsion systems rather then spend my time having to earn my food, shelter, and some pointless goal of earning as much money as I can."
Lol, I doubt that. Or do you have a degree/knowledge concerning the involved physics/chemistry and think the narcissistic satisfaction of "doing something meaningful" would by itself give you the necessary means to achieve that?
VP is science-fiction for politically frustrated nerds…

  • TheHomoludens

    "You fail to understand"…?
    False, dude!
I just don´t think that technology is any more able to save us than communication and a change of political structures, a break-up of rigid hierarchies.
You´re still advocating a techno-utopic "new world order". Huxley anyone?

  • CntthnkO15

You fail to understand technology is just as humane as your emotions, sensation, and thoughts. Technology is merely the extension of human sensation, it merely make it easier for us to do certain things. A megaphone allows us to speak louder without speaking louder, a stove allows us to cook faster, a light allows us to see in the dark, a hammer allows us to create force we couldn't before… it isn't something to run away from, it is something to embrace.

  • CntthnkO15

That ego, bring it down a notch, bro.
