    The average cow consumes 30lbs per day.
    Now average low – 2 tons of hay per acre per year.
    133 days of hay per acre.
    2.75 acres per cow.
    Let's assume some data is fucked, so we'll double it to 5.5 acres per cow.
    Maybe in Montana they need 50 acres, but certainly not in Wisconsin.

    A huge part why wolves are becoming more of a "problem" up here in Canada is due to the massive increase in snowmobiling. The sleds go into the forest and leave tracks of packed snow which allows the wolves to go places where they could't go as easily before.
