The thing is that it’s not patriotism, it’s jingoism. Which is the point you reach when the essence of what a patriot is is then lost, and you’ve just submersed into delusion.

let me summarize the substance of your comment:

LMAO! You call me clueless and point to the Bible telling people to stone their children to death…. LOL You really need to learn the Bible before you speak about it. You have absolutely no clue what the heck you’re talking about.
Yes, I’ve read it. Yes, I’ve read the verse and chapter in question. You should try reading the whole thing. The ancient convenant and the new… and so on. LOL
Clueless??? LOL Which one of us is???
    Just another know-it-all atheist wannabe!

there is a FOX network, beyond their cable channel for neoconservatives.

  5. myrelative says:

what was that, the 11th commandment?
just because you can draw a parallel doesn’t make it the “atheist translation”.

  6. myrelative says:

you are clueless if you reckon morals come from the bible.
a lot of cultures that you would consider to have the incorrect religion have morals by your definition.

do you reckon its moral to stone your children to death because they are disobedient to you? the bible says that’s what you should do.
looks more like YOU don’t know the bible.

    Same.

Well, Leno could take the 11:30 p.m. slot on Fox News, and Fox would have to get rid of half of O’Reilly’s re-run and half of Hannity’s re-run.

And then Jay’s ancient liberal audience would have to watch Fox News.

    I don’t reckon it’s a excellent thought.

    @myrelative
Really? Common onsense? Do you know anything about the Bible? Did God Himself not say that He would write His laws into the heats of man? What does that mean? THAT is where morals come from. So no, it’s not common sense, it’s God’s Word… MORALS! And ALL of them are directly related to God!

  12. rebelgamer says:

You can look at it in terms of keeping your priority’s strait and not investing your time in things that are hollow, especially when your whole life starts to revolve around those things.

Keep some things above yourself like family and friends, and don’t let other things blur what is truly vital.

  13. myrelative says:

please “slightly translate” this commandto according to the beliefs of an atheist:
Do not have any other gods before me.

  14. rebelgamer says:

Not necessarily right, all 10 can apply to anyone. They just need slight translation according to beliefs.

  15. myrelative says:

beck is talking nonsense here, and the caller doens’t know the 10 commandments.
a third of them are directly related to god, so they are nonsense for an atheist.
another third are nonsense in itself and nobody cares about them, like not working on a particular day of the week.
and the last third are just common sense every society comes up with eventually. like, it might be a excellent thought if we don’t slaughter each other.
