@OrientOranges To be honest i think a big part of the rationalist antipathy towards creationism is that creationists routinely and systematically try to undermine science. Including trying to make it mandatory for this nonsense to be taught in schools, within the context of science classes, as a viable alternative to evolution through natural selection. Believe what you want, so long as it doesn’t impinge on the rights of society or individuals within it.
That would be all fine. If a religion just minds its own business, I leave it alone. It’s one of the main reasons I never aggressively criticize Buddhism, Unitarian Christianity, etc. But creationism is dangerous to science education, and it must be attacked… not violently attacked, but with words.
Ya know. I wouldn’t have been like these atheists. I don’t give a flying fuck if you’re a hardcore Christian – if it makes you happy then more power to you. I wish more Christians were like that, though. Most are biased and when they’re in groups attack and scoff at you when you admit you’re an atheist. So my advice to everyone is just chill the fuck out and let people believe whatever they want to, cause happiness is all you got in this life.
The fact that life evolved out of nearly nothing, some 10 billion years after the universe evolved out of literally nothing – is a fact so staggering that I would be mad to attempt words to do it justice.”
Richard Dawkins.
Atheism is the belief in nothing, something coming from nothing is a scientific impossibility.
When you eliminate the impossible, what remains is not only possible, but probable!
God is possible, atheism is not
Don’t skip the discussion with Dr. Lisle, because that was pretty telling. The skeptic kept prying about the circular argument of holding the Bible as the ultimate standard. He was incredulous about Dr. Lisle’s assertion that the Bible makes knowledge possible, while the skeptic kept wanting to put aside the matter of uniformity in nature, a materialistically inexplicable bedrock of the scientific method. That was Dr. Lisle’s point about the teachings of the Bible making knowledge possible.
What if a religion could maximize the amount of evil people doing good things and minimize the amount of good people doing evil things. That would be a benefit to humanity would it not? That’s the direction that I think most religion is heading in.
Religion is an insult to human dignity. Without it, you’d have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things, but for good people to do evil things and evil people to do good things, that takes Religion!
What the fuck are this guys thinkig? The universe have 6000 years?? WTF!? O_o

I love how the bible guy defened the argument about the bible not being infallible by using more arguments from the bible.

Don’t argue with a professional creationist. His subterfuge is his bread basket.

If you’re going to build a fancy church then just called it a church, or at least call it the museum for history deniers. Don’t call it a MUSEUM.
