Uhhhh, your lowbudget tripod is only built to support 7-10 lbs. I would assume you’d need a 30-50lb tripod to support this design. I’ve seen people mount cranes to speaker stands though – that could be an option
@EricFergusonCinema Im just thinking maby for the problem w/h the t nut you could super glue it in or maby just use duck tape, its not going to be the most sturdy-est thing ever but it might work
Great video, but there are lots of problems with this design, guys. Those t-nuts pull out of Pine SO easily (they won’t twist, but they pull out the same way they came in) You need a hefty metal plate on the bottom to prevent this.
Also, the wood-on wood friction here is pretty intense, even the simplest cut-from-a-margarine-container bushing would help smooth things out. Better yet: hack apart a pair of roller blades, for the bearings.
Also: counterweight? We don’t all have Flip Minis.
holy shit thank you indy mogul! i built my own and it is amazing. but…… the only thinng that was a bitch was you didnt mention anything about the quantity of the ingredience. so that was a problem i came accross.

I wish I had somewhere to store this jib if I made it. I would love to modify this design to add panning of the camera plate only.
